The Assignment Tyndal Ann Hollins was the last of 4 children born to Johnny Hollins and Lydia Jones-Hollins on April 1, 1951, in Crane, Texas. When Tyndal was just 4 years old her father passed away. After some time, Ms. Lydia re-married and the family moved to Lubbock, Texas where Tyndal began her career playing the piano for Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church where her Stepfather Rev. Kado Lang was the Pastor. In Lubbock, Texas Tyndal attended Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School. Exploring her love for music she played clarinet in the band at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School where she graduated. Tyndal attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas earning a bachelor’s degree and was licensed as a Registered Nurse. While in College She was the music director at Allen Chapel in Dallas, Texas. After college Tyndal relocated to Southern California where she became the youth leader at New Spirit Baptist Church in Santa Ana, CA. where her uncle, Rev. T. J. Hollins was pastor. Tyndal never birthed children of her own but was Mother to many. She had a rare gift to affect many leaving each of them to feel as if they were ESPECIALLY SPECIAL. Children of all ages and all walks of life LOVED being in her presence. She exuded the kind of love that could not be denied. Her phenomenal musical talent coupled with her gift to love children manifested a choir that produced generation after generation of young people whom Tyndal encouraged, guided, and nurtured. In 2001 Tyndal relocated to Corona, CA. where she continued her affection for loving and teaching children at Faith Fellowship under Pastor Mark Williams’ leadership. Tyndal was the kind of member any pastor would love to have because she believed in supporting the vision of her Pastor. As an advocate for youth Tyndals heart was HUGE as she believed in sharing and would do whatever was in her power to help those in need. WOW what a legacy!!! Upon arrival to Heaven certainly she was greeted by her mother Mrs. Lydia Hollins-Lang, her father Mr. Johnny Hollins, her oldest brother Johnny Ray Hollins and her only sister Ms. Lindon Brown. Tyndal leaves to cherish her memory her brother Garland (Alberta) Hollins bonus brother Hurseful Lang (Mary) sister-in-love Mary Hollins, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, grand-godchildren and her Faith Fellowship and New Birth Church families.
