On April 7, 1962, in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement, "John Glenn" the first man in space to orbit Earth, Steven"Glenn" Jackson was born the 4th child to Rand and Isabelle Jackson. BORN in Los Angeles, California, raised in LGENDARY COMPTON "Gechee" a Cajun/Creole term he was affectionatly named by his Father because of the Louisiana accent which he carried from a toddler and throughout his life. As a youth Steve always loved the Lord and served as an "Alter Boy " in the Catholic Church throughout elementary and junior high-school . Steve was an accomplished swimmer, as well as a competitive tennis player being named in the top 20 players in his league. Continuing his formal education at Long Beach Military Academy, Steven masters music arts Drums, keyboard and guitar. He was born again and married Babette Urethra. At 19 years old. From this union 2 sons were born, Steven Jr. and Shamar. Steven joined his brother Ronald to create a successful construction business, specializing in county and state Building contracts. Moving to "SUNNYMEAD"CALIFORNIA with his siater Phyllis . . Steve contracted with the city and help build what we now know as "Moreno Valley" Later as a proprietor and entrepreneur of "CLUB RAUNDOVOUX" he brought major talent, bands, entertainment as well as employment to rhe Inland Empire. As a business man he continued to serve the county and surrounding area opening a Barbecue Cajun/Creole Restaurant in the heart of downtown Riverside. In this season of life daughters Cambrie and Mya were born. Needless to say the were the very Apple of his eyes. An excellent chief. . as some of you know. . his soul food as well as Louisiana cuisine was unmatched! Steve continued amateur boxing, swimming, and was a master chess player. Steve worked with LA CONFIDENTIAL in South Central Los Angeles. . producing as well as accompanying various artists on music tracks. Moving to San Diego, CA. . again with Sister Phyllis (Lol) in. 2012 Steve was ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ under the tutorial of The Late Bishop George Dallas McKinney . OUTREACH was his passion and call. Built-in the words he grew up by. . being taught by his Mother "If not but for the Grace of God, there goes I" Steve worked hand and hand with the unloved and untouchable. . feeding, cooking, housing. . offering showers and the best he had to what appeared to be the greatest needed. He ministered from South Central LA to Southern San Diego. Steve never turned anyone away . He continued his undergraduate degree at San Diego State and Purdue online university earning 1 degree. . in psychology, Major in Theology. Most proud of his Martial Arts belts in Kutokimbo. . earning his brown belt. . and continuing the art even after the loss of his left leg , SINTAY MIKE. . also his dearest friend, work hard alongside Steve to keep him as Good as ever! Kimberly Jackson proved to be Stevens soul-mate and the Love of his life over 18 years. What a wonderfully BLESSED LIFE. . WE LOVE YOU UNCLE STEVE He left behind sons Steven and Shamar Jackson, Daughters Cambri and Mya Jackson, Sister Phyllis. and Louis Southall sister Connie Jackson, nices Shanel Wilson, Chanel Jackson, Yujane Lampkin, Tasha Miles, nephews Philip Lampkin Sr, Marc Lampkin, Gad Miles, 12 Grand children,9 Great nices and nephews 6 Great Great nices and nephews numerous family and dear friends
