A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Rochelle Ramona (Altman) Johnson, 50, passed away peacefully on March 31st, 2022 surrounded by family and dear friends. Rochelle Ramona (Altman) Johnson or as most of us knew her as “Mona” was born in Meridian, Mississippi. She grew up in Elwood, MS. She met her partner, best friend, and soulmate Jonathan Johnson at 6 years old. They didn’t know then, they we would eventually be together for 30 years of Marriage. Mona was born on September 1st, 1971, and she was extremely proud to be a Virgo. She was the middle daughter of Etta Marie Altman and Willie Altman. She had 10 siblings, Sharon Jordan, Amanda Davis, Patricia (Greg) Wells, Willie (Melissa) Davis, Cynthia Altman, Dole Altman, Lakeisha Altman, Michael (Amanda) Altman, Richard (Marita) Fleming and Jerra Altman. She had a host of nieces and nephews along with aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Rochelle known by many as Ramona has always been a very driven person. When she sets a goal for herself nothing can stop her from achieving it. Success through education was always important to her. She went through school on a mission as she always kept her eyes on the goal of attaining more knowledge. She graduated Quitman High School with High Honors. In her pursuit of higher education she attended a few schools; Jones Junior College, Mississippi State Univ, Southwestern College (Cali), San Diego State Univ, and National Univ where she received her Accounting Degree. She achieved her goal all while raising 2 children and running the house while Jonathan was mostly underway with the US Navy. The beautiful memories and unforgettable moments of Mona's life are countless. Most of her adult like was spent in California. She birthed 3 children, Christopher, 33, Jasmine, 28, and Jaiden, 18. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, Autumn, 11, Jude, 6, Cameron Jr. (CJ), 5. She always was present and poised at annual family/friend vacations and gatherings. She held accounting and management positions within the McDonald’s Cooperation over the past 20 years. Family was the most important thing in her life. Everything that she did was for family and friends. She was the heart of our family and will be missed by us all.
